Randi Mahomes is cherishing time with her loved ones as she navigates a difficult period.
Just days after announcing the passing of her father, Randy Martin, she shared a heartfelt moment with her younger son, Jackson Mahomes.
On Saturday evening, Randi posted a photo of herself sitting with Jackson.
“Family time,” the caption read.
In another Instagram Story, she re-shared a post from Jackson, featuring a childhood memory, hinting that the two may have been reminiscing together.
A challenging week for the Mahomes family
The Mahomes family has faced a tough stretch both personally and professionally. Alongside the heartbreaking loss of Randi’s father, Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs fell short in their Super Bowl three-peat bid, suffering a 40-22 defeat to the Philadelphia Eagles.
On Friday, Randi took to Instagram to share the devastating news of her father’s passing. In an emotional tribute, she reflected on the final moments she spent holding his hand, finding solace in knowing he was at peace.
She posted several photos, including touching moments with her father and her three children-Patrick, Jackson, and Mia.
“Hard to find the words of holding my father’s hand as he goes to Heaven. I know he’s in a better place. I love you, daddy. Well done, good and faithful servant! Matthew 25:23,” she wrote.
Just a week prior, Randi revealed to PEOPLE magazine that her father had been battling an illness and had entered hospice care in January 2025. Despite his condition, she shared that he was aware of Patrick and the Chiefs’ Super Bowl run and believed he held on long enough to see his grandson compete on the biggest stage.
Throughout the 2024 NFL season, Randi split her time between cheering on Patrick and the Chiefs while also being by her father’s side in Texas. Now, as she grieves his loss, she finds strength in family, cherished memories, and the love that surrounds her.
