The Pittsburgh Pirates are set to release a limited-edition Paul Skenes Superman bobblehead on June 22 during their game against the Texas Rangers at PNC Park.

This unique collectible, a collaboration with DC Studios, features Skenes in a Superman pose-ripping open his jersey to reveal the iconic “S” symbol and a blue shirt underneath. The base of the bobblehead is designed to resemble the Fortress of Solitude, adding a touch of superhero flair to the memorabilia.

To obtain this exclusive item, fans must purchase a special ticket for the game, which starts at $52.93 and goes up to $91.93, depending on seating options. This requirement is due to licensing agreements with DC Studios.

Skenes’ impact on the field

Despite facing challenges with run support, Skenes has delivered impressive performances on the mound. In 2025, he holds a 2.36 ERA over 68.2 innings pitched, with 70 strikeouts and an opposing batting average of .190. His consistent pitching has been a bright spot for the Pirates this season.

The Superman bobblehead is the second Skenes-themed collectible this season. The first, released on April 19, saw fans lining up hours before the game for the 20,000 available items.

Due to high demand, the Pirates later announced that every fan who scanned their ticket would receive an electronic voucher for the bobblehead at a later date.

For fans interested in attending the Superman Day event and securing the exclusive bobblehead, tickets are available through the Pirates’ official website. This special promotion offers a unique opportunity to celebrate both baseball and superhero culture.

New celebrity status

In addition to his impressive performance on the mound, Paul Skenes’ public profile has soared significantly in recent months, largely due to his relationship with social media star and gymnast Olivia Dunne.

The couple’s high-profile status has drawn considerable attention from both sports and entertainment media, expanding Skenes’ visibility far beyond the baseball diamond. Olivia Dunne’s massive following on platforms like TikTok and Instagram has introduced Paul to a broader audience, blending athletic prowess with pop culture appeal.

This increased exposure has boosted Skenes’ marketability and helped elevate his personal brand, making him not just a rising star in MLB but also a recognizable figure in the broader world of sports and celebrity.

Their relationship has sparked interest from fans eager to see how this dynamic duo will continue to influence both their respective careers.
