PGA Championship 2025 Field: The complete list of players that will compete at the Quail Hollow Club

The 2025 PGA Championship is set to return to Quail Hollow Club in Charlotte, North Carolina, a course renowned for its challenging design and storied history, but who exactly will compete?

This location marks a significant event in golf history, as the venue was home to one of the most memorable victories in sports when Justin Thomas claimed a thrilling win in 2017.

Now this tournament, which begins on May 12, will feature an elite field, including defending PGA Champion Xander Schauffele, who leads an impressive lineup that boasts 29 major champions, 14 PGA Championship winners, three World Golf Hall of Famers, and three Ryder Cup Captains.

Additionally, the event will showcase the Corebridge Financial Team, made up of 20 PGA of America Golf Professionals who earned their place through the 2025 PGA Professional Championship, will also compete.

Among the star-studded contenders is Rory McIlroy, who enters the tournament as a favorite after completing his career Grand Slam just a month ago with a long-awaited victory at The Masters.

McIlroy’s triumph solidified his legacy as one of the game’s greats, and he’ll look to add another major title to his resume in 2025.

However, McIlroy will face stiff competition from the likes of Scottie Scheffler. While Scheffler’s 2025 has not been as dominant as his record-breaking 2024 season, he proved his form with an impressive victory at the CJ Cup Byron Nelson just weeks ago.

With two Masters titles already under his belt, Scheffler is well-positioned to chase his third major.
