Patrick Mahomes’ brother, Jackson, reacts eagerly to the Chiefs star’s latest announcement

The 2025 season for the Kansas City Chiefs was complicated, to say the least. They struggled from the very beginning and finished the same way, enduring constant adversity. Injuries and suspensions to key players turned out to be a major issue for the team as it tried to keep its postseason aspirations alive.

And when the injury that sidelined Patrick Mahomes for the remainder of the season is added to that equation, the team no longer had any real chance to immediately return to the fight for another championship.

Today, the Chiefs are already in the offseason, and Andy Reid has significant work ahead as he prepares for the upcoming draft in April, where his selections must focus on talent that can help both the defense and the offense.

Patrick Mahomes’ brother, Jackson, sends him a message of strength

Jackson Mahomes was one of the millions who suffered after learning about his brother’s ACL tear. Not seeing him do what he loves most and help the Chiefs secure victories and contend for a title was deeply painful for him.

However, this is not the end for Patrick, who still has plenty of fuel left in the tank and will be able to return in September 2026. After the surgery performed on the Chiefs quarterback in Texas, he has already begun his recovery process with the goal of coming back fully energized and with the same hunger intact.

In the message Jackson sent to Patrick, he appears in a somber image, defeated, with his head down and the lights turned off except for a single spotlight illuminating his figure as he walks across the field.

.

In contrast, the lower part of the image shows another moment in which he looks happy, leaping toward the end zone as he usually does when healthy, enjoying himself while doing his job in the best way he knows how.

Patrick enjoys every game alongside his teammates. Although the recently concluded season did not provide many moments to celebrate or enjoy, he never loses his style or his desire to keep having fun and embracing the game.

It is worth remembering that the injury suffered by the Kansas City signal-caller involves a long recovery, with a minimum timeline of nine months. With that in mind, it is reasonable to believe that he could be back by kickoff in 2026, to the delight of his fans and colleagues.

The road back to 100 percent health will be filled with difficult challenges, but the Chiefs quarterback has shown a steel mentality that will help him remain calm throughout the process and return even stronger.

Fans can feel fully confident that their great leader, a player who gives the league what no one else can, will come back at full strength with a thirst for redemption to place the Chiefs back on top of the league.

Necessary changes for the Chiefs

What also became clear is that in Kansas City, Andy Reid must make every necessary adjustment to ensure his team remains competitive with or without Mahomes. The defense needs to clean up the details that derailed them in the early games of the 2025 season.

And for the offensive line, it is vital to add new pieces that allow the quarterback to develop plays instead of running for his life on every snap.

The work ahead for the franchise will be substantial, and it will require a keen eye to fill those needs through the draft and the players who will arrive via free agency.
