Paige Spiranac slams A-lister for “unbelievably slow” golf game in celebrity showdown: “Hit the ball, Star-Lord!”

Paige Spiranac, the former pro golfer and social media sensation, didn’t hold back when recounting a frustrating experience on the green with none other than Guardians of the Galaxy star Chris Pratt.

The incident happened during a celebrity Ryder Cup-style event at the Genesis Invitational, where Spiranac was paired with singer Nick Jonas. “He was very slow,” Paige said of Pratt’s pace of play. “Might be the slowest golfer I’ve ever played with. Super nice guy. Unbelievably slow.”

According to Paige, Pratt’s storytelling and crowd-pleasing antics ground the round to a near standstill. “We were like four holes behind on a nine-hole, like, little thing,” she laughed. “They’re like, ‘You need to speed it up,’ and he had all these people around him. He’d tell, like, these amazing stories, and we were like, hit the golf ball!”

While the shade was playful, it underscores one of Paige’s biggest pet peeves – slow play – something she’s addressed often in her golf commentary. Beyond calling out celebrities, Spiranac also continues to educate fans on the finer details of the sport.

Paige continues to educate people about golf

Ahead of the PGA Championship, she took to social media to clarify one of golf’s most common misconceptions: who actually runs the tournament. “Most people think the PGA [Championship] is put on by the PGA Tour. It’s not. It’s put on by the PGA of America,” she explained.

“The PGA Tour is for touring pros – the big names. The PGA of America is made up of teaching pros – the ones helping you fix your slice on Saturdays.” Her quick breakdown? “If you can explain that at a party, you’ll impress people.”

Whether she’s teaching fans the ins and outs of the game or hilariously exposing A-listers for their fairway faux pas, one thing’s clear: Paige Spiranac isn’t afraid to call it like she sees it – even if it means roasting Star-Lord on the back nine.
