Paige Spiranac drops boozy bombshell about golf career: “Maybe that’s what my game was missing”

In a jaw-dropping confession that’s got the golf world buzzing, former pro golfer turned influencer Paige Spiranac admitted she wonders if a little alcohol could’ve actually improved her performance on the course.

During a candid resurfaced episode of her podcast Playing a Round with Paige, Spiranac revealed she never played golf drunk during her competitive days-but maybe she should have.

“I’ve honestly never even been tipsy. I just don’t drink on the golf course,” the 30-year-old said. “And maybe that’s what my golf game is missing. Maybe if I drank a little bit then I would be better.”

A glass or two doesn’t hurt

Spiranac, who retired from pro golf at just 23, shared that the only time she’s ever had alcohol while golfing was “a shot or a couple” during charity events-noting that even then, she kept it tame. But the idea that loosening up with a drink might have helped her play better has fans both shocked and intrigued.

Though she didn’t reach the heights many predicted during her competitive career, Spiranac has since become one of the sport’s most recognizable personalities.
