In her first year at Unrivaled, Paige Bueckers led Breeze BC to the semifinals of the three-on-three league playoffs after defeating Angel Reese and Rose BC 69-50. However, in the decisive game against Mist BC, a 73-69 loss ended her dream of winning the title.
However, this tough blow was softened somewhat by the presence of someone very special to the Dallas Wings star. Paige’s girlfriend and former Connecticut Huskies teammate, Azzi Fudd, was inside the Barclays Center on Monday to support her.

The Breeze were in control throughout the game and looked set to claim victory, leading 13-0 at the start of the game. But Arike Ogunbowale, Bueckers’ teammate at the Wings, did her thing at the end and scored a three-pointer that gave Mist the win and a place in the final.
Dominque Malonga‘s 18 points and 14 rebounds were not enough to stop their opponents, and they were eliminated. Not even Rickea Jackson’s 17 points and Bueckers‘ 17 points, 10 rebounds, and 5 assists were enough.
However, the one who also stole the show, although this time off the court, was Azzi Fudd. The 23-year-old UConn star, who signed with Unrivaled and will compete in the league next season, was one of 18,000 spectators filling the Barclays Center in Brooklyn.
Azzi dazzled the crowd in a fitted long-sleeved knit polo shirt with beige and cream horizontal stripes paired with camel-colored pants, a fur coat, and sunglasses, as she watched every play intently.
And although the game ended in defeat for Paige and her teammates, she showed her support for Paige once again, as this is not the first time she has been seen watching the Dallas star play.
She attended Bueckers’ first game in a Dallas Wings jersey and even attended Paige’s draft night.
Meanwhile, the pair who shone at UConn under the guidance of coach Geno Auriemma could be reunited as teammates at the Dallas Wings. Bueckers, Fudd, and Sarah Strong led the Huskies to an 82-59 victory over defending champions South Carolina to win the national college championship just before Bueckers entered the WNBA.
Now, with Fudd widely considered the likely top pick in the upcoming WNBA draft and Bueckers’ team holding the first pick, it would only take one selection for the two to be reunited.
Meanwhile, Phantom and Vinyl faced off in the other bracket on the same day. Following Kelsey Plum’s 75-83 victory, Phantom will face Mist in the final this Wednesday at 9:30 p.m. ET at Sephora Arena in Miami.
