Open warfare between Claressa Shields and Jake Paul: It’s called conquering, b*tches

Claressa Shields has never been one to hold her tongue – and her latest clash with Jake Paul‘s Most Valuable Promotions (MVP) proves it. After being snubbed in an MVP social media post that celebrated the success of their fighters, Shields fired back in a fiery message that left no room for misinterpretation.

The now-viral moment came when MVP shared a graphic highlighting the achievements of boxers associated with the brand, boasting of their dominance in the sport. However, Shields – who fought under MVP’s banner for one bout before parting ways – was noticeably absent. The omission didn’t sit well with the self-proclaimed GWOAT (Greatest Woman of All Time).

In response, Shields took to social media with a scorching post: “It’s called conquering, b*tches,” making it clear she believes her legacy speaks louder than any promotional graphic.

Shields vs MVP: A simmering feud reignites

The tension between Shields and MVP isn’t new. After a brief partnership, the relationship soured, with Shields moving on to continue her career independently. Since then, she has remained vocal about her desire to be recognized not just as a female fighter, but as one of the sport’s all-time greats – regardless of gender.

Shields, a two-time Olympic gold medalist and multi-division world champion, holds one of the most decorated records in boxing. Many in the boxing community rallied behind her, agreeing that MVP’s post felt like a calculated slight.

Jake Paul, founder of MVP, has yet to respond publicly to Shields’ comments. But given both fighters’ love for the spotlight – and for controversy – it’s unlikely this war of words is over.

For now, Shields is standing tall, reminding the boxing world exactly who she is – with or without MVP’s approval.
