Noah Lyles reignites feud with Tyreek Hill after dominant win: Will the Dolphins star step up?

The bad blood between Noah Lyles and Tyreek Hill just got even spicier! After successfully defending his title at the New Balance Indoor Grand Prix in Boston, the world champion sprinter took another jab at the Miami Dolphins star-without saying a word. Instead, he let his victory do the talking, and he delivered his latest barb in bold, undeniable fashion.

Lyles, who has been embroiled in a war of words with Hill since last year, made sure to send a direct message after securing his fourth straight win in the 60m event.

As he crossed the finish line with a time of 6.52 seconds, Lyles pulled out a hidden piece of paper from under his shorts, unfolding it to reveal the words: “Tyreek Could Never.”

The move was a not-so-subtle shot at Hill, who has repeatedly downplayed Lyles’ accomplishments and even accused him of faking an illness following his disappointing performance in the 200m at the Paris Olympics.

Lyles started the feud

Hill has long claimed he could beat Lyles in a race, but despite the trash talk, the much-hyped showdown between the two speedsters has yet to materialize.

Their feud traces back to 2023, when Lyles sparked controversy by criticizing the NBA’s use of the term “world champions” for its title-winning teams.

Hill, like many pro athletes, took offense to the sprinter’s comments. But their rivalry truly heated up after Lyles won his first Olympic gold in the 100m and then struggled in the 200m final, finishing third before being taken off the track in a wheelchair.

Hill took offense

Hill wasted no time throwing shade, suggesting Lyles’ COVID diagnosis was an excuse and declaring, “Noah Lyles can’t say nothing after what just happened to him.” The back-and-forth continued on social media, with both men daring each other to race.

Now, Lyles is clearly making it known-he’s still on top of the track world, and Hill? Well, as far as he’s concerned, “Tyreek Could Never.”

Will the Dolphins’ speedster finally step up and settle things on the track? The ball-or in this case, the baton-is in Hill’s court.
