Nico Ali Walsh has never been shy about his priorities, and once again he has put legacy miles ahead of lucre.

Tempting seven-figure offers to face social-media sensation-turned-boxer Jake Paul continue to arrive, yet the 24-year-old middleweight refuses to budge. His reasoning could not be clearer: “I’m fighting for my bloodline and he’s fighting for headlines.”

The remark, delivered to Sky Sports last June, echoes like a mission statement. While Paul’s camp has courted him since early 2022 – and reportedly dangled sums well into the millions – Ali Walsh’s answer has stayed the same.

The Chicago-born prospect, now 10-0, believes the fastest way to tarnish a name minted by Muhammad Ali is to shortcut the climb for cash.
