Brazil national team has been left without one of its major figures for the 2026 FIFA World Cup after Rodrygo‘s terrible injury with Real Madrid was confirmed in his own words.https://x.com/PepinEsc

In what was a moving message, the Brazilian forward shared an emotional statement assuring that it was one of the most difficult days of his life. The news quickly sparked reactions across social media, with one message standing out among fans and the Brazilian football community.

Neymar dedicated a touching message to Rodrygo

The Al-Hilal star and former Brazil teammate recalled his own experience dealing with serious injuries and offered public support to Rodrygo.

“As you said, you didn’t deserve to go through this right now… but who are we to question God’s plans. Brother, stay strong, I’m sure you’ll come back flying. I love you. Just as you supported me, I’ll be here for you,” wrote Neymar, referencing their time together with the Brazil national soccer team.

Rodrygo tore the ligaments in his right knee and will undergo knee surgery that will sideline him for the rest of the season, ruling him out of LaLiga, the UEFA Champions League, and the 2026 World Cup in the United States, Mexico, and Canada.

“I’m out for the rest of the season with my club and out of the World Cup with my country-a dream everyone knows means so much to me. All I can do is stay strong as always; that’s nothing new,” Rodrygo wrote in his emotional farewell.

Although Rodrygo wasn’t part of the call-ups for the last four World Cup qualifiers, the Real Madrid winger was reportedly in Carlo Ancelotti‘s plans for the Brazil squad heading into the 2026 tournament.

Without a doubt, it’s a devastating blow for Brazil’s World Cup hopes, as the Seleção looks to reclaim global glory on North American soil.
