Mike Tyson chose the best heavyweight boxer… and it’s not him!

Mike Tyson‘s career has had some great moments. Debuting at the age of 18, he has managed to achieve great success.

At only 20 years, 4 months and 22 days old, he snatched the WBC heavyweight title from the hands of Trevor Berbick on November 22, 1986 and became the youngest champion in history and an idol for many. However, even idols have idols.

Tyson, remembered for his ferocity and intimidation in the ring has fought 59 times, but 50 of which ended in victory. With all this to back him up, in a recent dialogue with ThisIs50, Tyson was asked who he considered the best heavyweight fighter. Without hesitation, he revealed who is the best: Muhammad Ali.

There is no man like him, there simply is not. He surpasses us in everything we have. He was an animal, he looked more like a model than a boxer. He’s like a Tyrannosaurus Rex with a pretty face, he’s mean and evil, he’ll take you into deep water and drown you. He’s very special. He’s the best. Nobody beats Ali. I can’t beat that man, hell no. No way.

Sure, Mike can boast of several titles and fights that took him to stardom and even crowned him with the WBA and IBF titles and became the undisputed heavyweight champion, but even he knows that Ali and his fist, hit harder.

Fights and victories against boxers like Sonny Liston or George Foreman put him at the top.
