Mike Tyson plans his next fight and a big surprise
Mike Tyson‘s return to the ring against influencer and youtuber Jake Paul didn’t end in glory for the former heavyweight champion of the world, and nearly six months removed from the Netflix special, Iron Mike has shared his thoughts on the fight.
While Tyson made it clear fighting someone 31 years younger than him was a daunting task, he is proud of the fact he can still garner interest despite being 58 years old. Tyson and Paul managed to attract over 72,300 fans to the AT&T Stadium, with the fight generating $18.1 million in total revenues – making it the highest-grossing combat sports event outside of Las Vegas.
Netflix also announced that the fight was the most-streamed sporting event in history, with over 108 million viewers tuning in from around the world. Tyson reportedly took home a $20 million purse for the fight, and while he wouldn’t rule out a return to the ring in the future, he says it won’t happen anytime soon.
