Mikaela Mayer vs Sandy Ryan 2 purse: How much will they earn for this championship rematch?

The rematch between defending champion Mikaela Mayer and Sandy Ryan has been considered one of the most attractive in women’s boxing, where outside the ring tempers have been heated with harsh statements. However, the prize money is a very attractive issue and will undoubtedly leave very good dividends to the winner.

It is worth remembering that Mikaela Mayer earned approximately $300,000 in her defeat to Natasha Jonas, an IBF women’s welterweight championship fight and the same amount in the first fight with Sandy Ryan. Being a rematch, the amounts are increased along with the PPV bonuses.

PPV subscriptions will determine the prize pool for the winner

If the Mayer-Tyan 2 fight is attractive enough to increase PPV subscriptions by 65%, the earnings from the rematch will rise to $2.5 million for the winner and a guaranteed check for $425,000 for the winner and $250,000 for the loser. It is worth noting that this PPV subscription figure is an average figure and may increase or decrease depending on the official percentage.

For example, with just a drop to 60% of PPV subscribers, the economic purse could drop to $1.5 million plus the $425,000 guaranteed for winning the belt at stake. However, both Top Rank and Matchroom Boxing have created tremendous anticipation and promotion for the rematch, so it is likely that the subscriber target will be reached.

The fight between Mayer and Ryan 2 heated up before they got into the ring

Not only is it a rematch to show authority in the ring, but this fight dates back to last year when Mikaela Mayer accused the challenger, Sandy Ryan, of stealing her trainer when the Briton came to the United States to join her gym. After this accusation, days later in New York, outside the gym, Ryan waited for Mayer to throw a can of red paint at her and tempers flared to the maximum.

In addition to being a fight for the WBO welterweight title, it is also a duel for honor and dignity. This bout will take place on Saturday, March 29 at the Fontainebleau Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada, where both fighters will step into the ring at 10:00 PM ET / 7:00 PM PT.
