Micah Parsons remembers the Dallas Cowboys and Dak Prescott at Lambeau Field in his big debut as a Green Bay Packers player

The season kicked off at Lambeau Field, and right away the Green Bay Packers sent a warning to the NFL-especially to the teams in the NFC North-after crushing the Detroit Lions 27-13 with an impressive defensive performance against the squad that had the league’s best offense last season.

Jordan Love had a solid start to the season, throwing for 188 yards and 2 touchdown passes-one to Jayden Reed and the other to Tucker Kraft. On the ground attack, Josh Jacobs carried the ball 19 times for 66 yards and also found the end zone once.

Within the NFC, when it comes to favorites, the Packers sit only behind the Philadelphia Eagles, who lead the sportsbooks to return once again to the Super Bowl. However, the Packers have put on a clinic, especially on defense-a situation that should concern the rest of the NFL.

Micah Parsons recorded his first sack as a Green Bay Packers player

A couple of weeks ago, social media erupted after a blockbuster trade was announced between the Dallas Cowboys and the Green Bay Packers. Micah Parsons was sent to Green Bay in exchange for two first-round draft picks and defensive tackle Kenny Clark-a move that infuriated Cowboys fans.

But what’s done is done, and Micah Parsons made his debut as a Packer, despite reports throughout the week that he had been dealing with back discomfort. The Penn State product made his presence felt, and in the fourth quarter he notched his first sack as a Packer-bringing down Jared Goff.

It’s worth remembering that during his four years with the Dallas Cowboys, Micah Parsons racked up 52.5 sacks and countless awards. Even so, the team chose not to offer him an extension-something Green Bay did, making him the highest-paid non-quarterback in NFL history, with an average of $47 million per year over four years.
