Maxx Crosby considers not playing for the United States at the Los Angeles 2028 Olympic Games and admits contact with another country

The next Olympic Games, set to take place in Los Angeles in 2028, are already beginning to clarify certain issues ahead of the sporting event that brings together the very best in athletics.

With that in mind, considerable expectations have been generated, especially surrounding one discipline that will make its debut: flag football. In light of this, several NFL players have stated that they would like to participate.

One of the figures who has raised his hand and expressed a desire to be part of the men’s team representing his nation is Las Vegas Raiders defensive star Maxx Crosby.

Maxx Crosby wants to be at the Los Angeles 2028 Olympic Games, but away from the United States

The Raiders’ defensive end has a strong interest in joining the squad that will compete for a medal at the Los Angeles 2028 Olympic Games. However, there is something particularly unusual about that intention.

Crosby does not want to play for the United States. Instead, he would be seeking the opportunity to join another national team and contend with them for a spot on the podium.

The defensive end believes that the United States will dominate the Games, although that may not necessarily be the case, despite the country’s deep sporting tradition. For that reason, he would prefer to join another team he could help make competitive, at the very least.

Crosby would like to represent Serbia, and officials within that nation’s delegation have already reached out to him in hopes of making that dream a reality.

[I’d play for] Team Serbia. As much as I love this country, I’m all USA. God bless America.”…”I think it’d be fu*king dope because I’m the only one… They’ve reached out too.” But why would he play for any other country other than the US?
Crosby made those remarks on his podcast, The Rush.

Although Crosby was born and raised in the United States, his mother is a first-generation immigrant from Serbia and Albania. She arrived in the country without knowing a single word of English. Later, she would meet the man who would become her husband in Michigan, and together they had three children, including Maxx.

His brothers are Myles, who played for SMU, and his sister Milla, who graduated with a degree in marketing from Texas Tech.

If the opportunity arises for him to represent Serbia at the Los Angeles 2028 Olympic Games, he would be happy to do so, bringing with him the same talent and passion he displays each season alongside his teammates.
