There are rivalries that do not expire. In Los Angeles, in the legends match between Real Madrid and FC Barcelona, Marcelo and Ronaldinho remembered it with a brief and recognisable scene.
The ball was stopped in the white half. Marcelo was about to put it into play from his own half when Ronaldinho appeared from behind and gave him a playful shove. Not violently, but with intent.
Marcelo responded by falling to the grass in an exaggerated manner, arms open and with a look of disbelief, as in a Clasico of maximum tension. The stadium instantly picked up on the gesture.
A not-so-friendly date
He got up quickly. Ronaldinho was waiting for him with a smile. There were hugs and laughter between two protagonists of those real duels between the two teams. The stands accompanied them with applause.
The ball rolled again and the match continued, but for a few seconds the Los Angeles pitch echoed with memories of other nights, with two old rivals playing to recognize each other in front of the crowd.
