A man who was arrested for trespassing at the home of Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce has reached a legal resolution to avoid a criminal conviction.

Justin Lee Fisher has been sentenced to probation and fined $1,000 after reaching an agreement with the Leawood Municipal Court, according to Delaney Eyermann of FOX 4 KC, .

The arrangement allows Fisher to avoid receiving a criminal conviction upon completion of the program’s requirements.

The incident occurred in the early hours of that morning, shortly after 02:00, when Leawood police responded to a report of a trespasser in a gated community that includes Kelce‘s residence.

The man, identified as Fisher, allegedly jumped a fence onto the private property. He was later arrested on a misdemeanor charge of criminal trespassing.

According to police records, Kelce’s home is located around 16 miles away from GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City, Missouri.

Fisher’s defence and the Baldoni case link

Documents claim Fisher was attempting to serve deposition papers to Kelce’s fiancee Taylor Swift on behalf of lawyers representing actor Justin Baldoni, related to a separate ongoing legal dispute.

Before he could deliver the documents, however, he was taken into custody by police. The incident was reported by one of Swift‘s security personnel, who was guarding the property at the time.

In his application for the diversion program, Fisher clarified that he was acting in his professional capacity as a process server and claimed he was never instructed to leave the property.

“I am seeking a diversion after being arrested in the process of doing my job as a process server,” Fisher wrote.

“I was attempting to serve a subpoena… I went to the address through the gate as it opened and attempted to speak to the security guards in an attempt to serve the paperwork. I was never told to leave or even spoken to. Police arrived and arrested me,” he added.

After the verdict, Fisher added that the arrangement provides “a very amicable resolution to an unfortunate incident.”

The terms of the agreement

The diversion agreement ensures that Fisher can complete probation and other program requirements without a criminal conviction appearing on his record.

For Kelce and the Chiefs, the resolution prevents prolonged legal proceedings and minimizes public distraction during an important moment in the season for the 36-year-old.

The case highlights the potential risks faced by public figures like Kelce, whose high-profile status can attract unwanted attention.

Legal analysts note that while Fisher will avoid a criminal record, the importance of respecting private property and security protocols remains a key consideration.

With the matter resolved through the diversion program, Kelce can continue focusing on his season with the Chiefs without further distraction as they aim to secure a spot in the playoffs.
