Luka Doncic delighted fans by sharing the first photo of his newborn daughter, Olivia. The Lakers star traveled to Slovenia to support Anamaria Goltes as she welcomed their second child.
The couple’s first daughter, Gabriela, was also born in December, making it a special month for the family. In his Instagram post, Doncic revealed the newborn’s name simply as “Olivia,” giving fans a sweet introduction to the newest addition.
Doncic missed two recent games for the Lakers, against the Toronto Raptors and Boston Celtics, while spending time with his family.
He is expected to return for Sunday’s matchup against the Philadelphia 76ers, ready to resume his pivotal role on the court.
A standout year for the Slovenian star
This year has been monumental for Doncic. After being traded to the Lakers in February, he faced a period of adjustment and criticism but has emerged stronger than ever.
He appeared on the cover of Men’s Health in July, reflecting both his dedication to fitness and his transformation off the court.
On the hardwood, Doncic has enjoyed one of his best seasons to date, averaging 35.3 points, 8.9 rebounds, and 8.9 assists per game while shooting 47.8 percent.
His scoring numbers mark a career high and have helped the Lakers assert themselves in the Western Conference.
Beyond basketball, Doncic updated his Instagram bio to include both of his daughters’ names, Gabriela and Olivia, celebrating his growing family.
During his absence, Austin Reaves has stepped up for the Lakers, delivering strong performances in Doncic’s absence.
With Olivia now in the family, Doncic is balancing new fatherhood and basketball, proving that he can excel both on the court and at home.
