LeBron James (41 years and 44 days) had 28 points, 10 rebounds and 12 assists, his first triple-double of the season, in the Lakers’ victory over the Mavericks.

With the 123rd triple-double of his career, LeBron James overtakes Karl Malone, who achieved his last triple-double at 40 years and 127 days in November 2023, as the oldest player in NBA history to achieve a triple-double (double digits in three different statistical categories).

LeBron achieved his first triple-double in the NBA on January 19, 2005, when his son Bronny (currently his teammate on the Lakers) was only 105 days old.

“I just wanted to try to finish well, we lost the last two games. I wanted to bring a little more energy, I told the guys that this was an important game, the West is tough,” LeBron said after the game
