This Thursday, April 9, the James family reached another historic milestone in league history: Bronny James recorded the first son-to-father assist in NBA history.
It happened during the Lakers’ game against the Golden State Warriors. With 51 seconds left in the first quarter, Bronny stole the ball and quickly passed it to LeBron, who pushed it in transition and finished with an uncontested dunk.
The Lakers went into halftime leading 53-49 in San Francisco.
This wasn’t the first historic moment between them. On March 27 against the Brooklyn Nets, they had already achieved the league’s first father-to-son assist: LeBron found Bronny, who knocked down an open three-pointer.
In the third quarter of Thursday night’s game, LeBron returned the favor with another assist on yet another Bronny three-pointer.
