Justin Herbert showcased his full talent in Brazil, emerging as the cornerstone of the Los Angeles Chargers’ offense and the driving force behind their first victory of the 2025 NFL season. His commanding presence on the field was pivotal in the Chargers’ strong performance during the opening two quarters.

In the first quarter, Justin Herbert delivered a masterclass in precision passing. With 9:16 remaining, he connected on a quick 5-yard throw to Quentin Johnston, who secured the reception and dashed into the end zone for the Chargers’ first touchdown. Cameron Dicker followed up with a successful extra point to put Los Angeles on the scoreboard.

The first quarter brought more bad news for the Kansas City Chiefs, as rookie wide receiver Xavier Worthy was forced out with a shoulder injury, further complicating Andy Reid’s game plan.

The scoring in the second quarter came through precision field goals. Cameron Dicker opened the period with a 39-yard field goal, giving the Chargers a 10-0 lead. Harrison Butker answered with a successful kick to narrow the gap.

Dicker, in top form, added a 36-yard field goal with just 49 seconds left, only for Butker to respond with a massive 59-yard field goal as time expired, keeping the Chiefs within striking distance heading into halftime.
