Julio Cesar Chavez confident of Junior’s victory over Jake Paul: “He’s a YouTuber”

The fight between Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. and Jake Paul is starting to heat up after an intense face-to-face on Wednesday, where the typical insults between boxers were not lacking when they want to involve the public to raise interest in the event that will take place on June 28 at the Honda Center in Anaheim, California.

The controversial fight between Paul (11-1, 7 KOs) and Chavez Jr. (54-6-1, 34 KOs) will be a 10-round fight and there has been no shortage of mixed comments surrounding the clash. Julio Cesar Chavez, the ‘Great Mexican Champion’, who has already asked Junior to go out and knock him out from the first round, as he does not want a half-hearted performance.

While in an interview for Fight Hub TV in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, during Canelo Alvarez’s victory over Jermell Charlo, the ‘Cesar del Boxeo’ expressed his excitement because it was a great opportunity for his son, who after being three years without fighting, in July 2024 defeated Uriah Hall, as part of the card of the event in which Jake Paul beat Mike Tyson

Julio Cesar Chavez highlights Jake Paul’s strength

Chavez gave his prediction on the fight and did not hesitate to say “we are going to beat Jake Paul”, before giving his opinion on the career of ‘The Problem Child’.

“He’s a YouTuber who’s been gaining experience,” Chavez Sr. said, adding: “As a boxer, I don’t think he knows much about boxing, but he’s strong and he’s learning.”

In a more recent opinion during Wednesday’s face-to-face, Julio Cesar Chavez Sr. joined the criticism of the American, although he recognized his impact on the promotion of modern boxing. “Jake Paul is young and strong, but he hasn’t fought a real boxer. There’s no way he’s going to beat my son,” said the great Mexican champion and sentenced: “With all due respect, we’re going to fuck this bastard.”
