Juan Soto makes shocking confession: He was almost traded to Yankees’ biggest rival!

The novel ofJuan Soto in the offseason has been revived in his last two series, in which the triangle of his main suitors to make a decision about his destination has been intertwined, after he signed for the New York Mets with a 15-year, $765 million contract, to leave the New York Yankees, but the third team in discord was the Boston Red Sox, the biggest rival of the Bronx Bombers.

Soto has confessed that he carefully analyzed the attractive offer presented to him by the Red Sox and they were “at the top of his list”, so, if he had taken it, it might have been a bigger blow for the fans, with the Dominican jewel in the arch-rival, although seeing him with the neighbor of the Big Apple does not make them very happy either.

“It was a lot of fun; they showed me a lot of love,” Soto said of the attractive offer made by Boston of 15 years and $700 million, adding, “I think it was really impressive what they brought. I definitely sat down to review it, to analyze the offers and everything they had for me.”

Juan Soto liked the idea of moving to Boston

With the Mets visiting the Red Sox in a series they already lost after falling 0-2 on Tuesday, Soto revealed that he liked the option of playing for Boston, because he would find the support of many Dominicans.

“It’s a pretty good team and it has a lot of Dominicans, and it was really impressive to me and it caught my attention. They were pushing hard, but in the end, I made the decisions,” Soto said, in a revelation that had not been dimensioned, since during the saga, the dispute seemed to be between the two New York teams, but the Red Sox really wanted him, offering him a deal that far exceeded their biggest in history, which is Rafael Devers, 10 years and $313 million.
