While that wouldn’t be a collapse, it certainly doesn’t scream Super Bowl.
The AI’s prediction hinges on several factors: a restructured defense featuring Joey Bosa and a hopefully healthy Tre’Davious White, paired with key losses like veteran leaders Von Miller and Micah Hyde. Despite the Bills facing one of the league’s softer schedules, Grok sees just 12 wins.
Its logic? The talent is there, but cohesion might not be.
Grok also hints at a different version of Allen this year-one less focused on doing it all himself. With James Cook and Damien Harris stepping up, the offense might lean more on the ground game. That could mean a healthier Allen heading into the playoffs. Yet, the AI implies this version may not be as dominant.
The concern, however, may be overblown. In a division where both the Jets and Patriots are rebuilding, 12 wins could still secure the AFC East crown. And the real goal-getting Allen playoff-ready-may require exactly this type of shift. The Bills know that MVP seasons are great, but postseason wins matter more.
Recognition beyond the numbers
While Grok questions Allen’s ceiling, the 2025 ESPYs suggest otherwise. Allen is nominated for both Best NFL Player and Best Male Athlete-despite not winning a Super Bowl. That’s a rare feat, especially when lined up against champions like Shohei Ohtani and NBA MVP Shai Gilgeous-Alexander.
Allen’s numbers in 2024 back the recognition: 3,731 passing yards, 28 touchdowns, just six interceptions, plus 531 rushing yards and 12 rushing scores.
Those stats not only earned him his first MVP award but made him Buffalo’s first league MVP since Thurman Thomas in 1991. His dual-threat brilliance lit up the regular season, even if the Bills fell short in the playoffs once again.
It’s also worth noting Allen is the only Best Male Athlete nominee without a championship. That says a lot. He’s not just a product of stats-he’s earned admiration from fans, peers, and analysts alike.
