It was a rough afternoon for Josh Allen at EverBank Stadium. The Buffalo Bills quarterback took heavy punishment from the Jacksonville Jaguars’ defense, and with the Divisional Round just a week away, he felt compelled to provide an urgent update on his condition.

The AFC Wild Card game was as close as expected. Buffalo secured its ticket to the next round with a narrow 27-24 victory.

Allen played a pivotal role in the win, completing 28 of 35 passes for 273 yards and a touchdown while taking one sack. He also added 33 rushing yards and two touchdowns on 11 carries.

However, the victory came at a steep price. Allen left the game with three injuries: a finger, a knee, and a head knock. Amid growing speculation, the star quarterback reassured fans that he is ready for the next challenge.

Allen calms Bills Mafia’s nerves

In his post-game press conference, Allen recalled being rolled up on early in the contest. He also jammed his right index finger against a helmet and buckled his knee during one of his touchdown runs.

Despite the setbacks, the eight-year veteran insisted he’s “good” heading into next week’s Divisional Round. He also delivered a heartfelt message to Bills fans.

“Feels good,” Allen told via Jonathan Acosta of WGRZ. “Just means that we got another game.” To the Bills Mafia, he added: “I love y’all. I got you, you got me.”

Allen’s knee injury remains the most concerning, but media and fans will have to wait for the official team report later this week.

The Bills await their divisional round opponent

The AFC Divisional Round schedule will be finalized on Monday, after the game between the Pittsburgh Steelers and the Houston Texans. Meanwhile, the New England Patriots faced the San Diego Chargers on Sunday night.

If predictions hold-with wins for the Steelers and Patriots-the Bills would face the AFC’s top seed, the Denver Broncos, at Mile High Stadium.

While Denver enjoys a bye week, Allen and the Bills will be recovering from their hard-fought battle against Jacksonville. Still, the team remains confident that its rhythm and playoff experience will carry them through.
