Jerry Jones just admitted that he secretly wants the same chaos for the Cowboys that is tearing the Eagles locker room apart

The Dallas Cowboys’ season has been a rollercoaster, marked by inconsistency that leaves them with a mediocre 4-5-1 record. The team, led by new Head Coach Brian Schottenheimer, has failed to string together consecutive wins. Of their five losses, only the Week 1 defeat against the Eagles was respectable; three of the other four were by two or more scores.

Heading into this week’s formidable matchup against the NFC-leading Eagles, the Cowboys have a small boost of confidence following a comfortable 33-16 Monday Night victory over the Raiders. In that game, Dak Prescott threw four touchdowns, George Pickens and CeeDee Lamb dominated, and the defense looked improved with new additions, allowing fewer than 20 points for the first time this season-though, the opponent was admittedly the Raiders.

Jones Craves Eagles’ Locker Room Tension

Even in Week 12, this game is season-defining for the Cowboys. Should they lose, their playoff probability drops to a dismal 3%, effectively ending their season and extending their 30-year drought without reaching an NFC Championship Game since winning Super Bowl XXX in 1996.

Conversely, the Eagles, in a way, resemble last year’s Chiefs: they might not look as explosive or play as cleanly as they did last year, but they consistently find ways to win. However, persistent reports of discontent, driven by players like A.J. Brown, suggest possible locker room turmoil.

Cowboys owner Jerry Jones was asked about the rumored strife in the Philadelphia Eagles locker room on @1053thefan. His response was telling: “Give me some of that strife.” A veteran of countless football battles, Jones understands that dissatisfaction can often be a powerful fuel for success.

He elaborated: “There are a lot of different thoughts that go on when you have that many people working together. That’s the importance of the team.” For the Eagles, this dynamic has worked so far, making them the defending Super Bowl champions and the clear team to beat this year.

Cowboys’ Playoff Hopes Hinge on Three Tough Games

Dak Prescott could pass Tony Romo as the Cowboys’ all-time passing leader with 160 yards in the next game, but it would mean almost nothing for the team if they don’t win. A win this weekend would be huge because it’s highly unlikely they can take the division title from the Eagles. Therefore, securing a wild-card spot in the tightly contested NFC is critical, and their upcoming opponents are formidable.

Following this week, they face a short week as they play their annual Thanksgiving Day game against the Chiefs, who are in a similar must-win situation as Dallas to keep their own season alive. After that, they have a Thursday Night game in Detroit against the Lions-a team fiercely competing with Green Bay and Chicago for their division and known for being very strong at home. The time has come for the Cowboys to prove their playoff worth over these three games, as losing just one could effectively end their season.
