Jason Kelce came out to defend AJ Brown over his criticism of the Eagles

Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver AJ Brown has endured a season in which, from his perspective, he has not felt properly valued.

He believes he has not been targeted in many of the plays where he could have been featured. However, what has actually happened is that Nick Sirianni has chosen to diversify the team’s offense rather than rely solely on the passing game. Yet jealousy has overtaken him, and he struggles to understand that football is a team effort built to win, not a stage for individual display.

On previous occasions, the receiver has even said that he does not care about winning as much as he cares about seeing his personal statistics climb. That attitude speaks to his selfishness, but he seems unbothered by that perception. Still, for many observers and analysts, this is not the mindset a player of his caliber should have. Instead, he should focus more on contributing to the collective effort. But one prominent figure has been vocal in publicly supporting the standout Eagles player.

Jason Kelce comes to AJ Brown’s defense

I think vocalising this stuff every once in a while is important because it like keeps people accountable. I like doing it more in-house, but sometimes AJ, I think (it’s) just his personality, he lets this out in a more open way or does it in a way that makes it more public facing.

Said Jason on 94WIP Morning Show, adding:

He’s a guy that wears his heart on a sleeve. But I’ll say this. He’s a very well-liked person in that building. He was a great teammate in my time there. I understand his frustrations. I understand the offense’s frustrations. And I think very highly of him as a player. And I think that ultimately the Eagles will be very good moving forward.

Brown’s comments came during a Twitch stream with a friend. “Everything else? No,” before calling the Eagles’ offense a “sh- show.” He even joked, “If you got me on fantasy, man, get rid of me.

The Eagles secured their third consecutive victory, yet that seems irrelevant to the receiver, who continues to focus solely on his own benefit.

I think that’s fair. I think you got eyes and you can see that,” he said. “I see the offense struggling, and I want to help contribute, and I didn’t get those opportunities, so I’m gonna have a problem with that, especially the player I am.

He added:

At what point are we gonna pick up our slack as an offense? You can’t just keep slapping a band-aid over that and expect to win late in the year.

AJ Brown shows support for his quarterback

Despite not showing full support for the team in his remarks, he expressed confidence in Jalen Hurts, the Eagles’ quarterback, who has struggled throughout the season. The distributed passing attack has not been executed well, and analysts have relentlessly criticized Hurts. Facing this wave of criticism, Brown stepped up in his defense.

Certain plays have different reads, despite what it looks like when someone takes a screenshot, you can’t go off that. He has certain reads, he has a lot going on in his head that he’s trying to process and then he has the pressure in his face.

AJ Brown

Hurts has rarely surpassed 200 yards in recent games, and his rating has also suffered. The team hopes both players can return to the same rhythm and fight for the title once again.
