Jannik Sinner picked up his 25th professional title on Sunday at the Tennis Garden in Indian Wells, 22 of which have come on hard courts. The Italian defeated Daniil Medvedev in the final, who had been Carlos Alcaraz’s executioner in the semifinals.

Sinner takes home a valuable bounty from the California desert amounting to $1,261,380 compared to Medvedev’s $662,360 as runner-up. The San Candido native also cuts the gap on Alcaraz in the ATP rankings by 1,000 points.

Medvedev will have to settle for 650 points, which will see him return to the world’s top 10 on Monday at the expense of Kazakhstan’s Alexander Bublik.

The Russian’s consistency at the start of the season sees him third in the Race 2026 standings for the ATP Finals in Turin, behind Alcaraz and Jannik Sinner.
