Jake Paul hasn’t had the best couple of months when it comes to closing deals for what could have been some spectacular boxing fights.
Jake recently confirmed that he and Gervonta “Tank” Davis – two time Super Featherweight World Champion – were in active talks for a fight instead of a rematch of Davis vs. Lamont Roach Jr., with a verbal agreement up in the air.
Another big fight that fell off involved Jake Paul and the Mexican champion Saul “Canelo” Alvarez, a match that was close to being finalizad and it was going to take place in May 2025. However, Canelo signed a four-fight deal with Turki Alalshikh, which means that a possible fight between Paul and Alvarez could not happen until 2027 at the earliest.
Jake Paul puts his life at risk months after getting engaged
Jake and his brother Logan Paul took some time off to explore Monaco, a sovereign principality located along the Mediterranean Sea in the midst of the resort area of the French Riviera. And they did so in orderly fashion, by hopping on the Flying Fox.
It’s a yacht built in 2019 by Lurssen that’s the world’s largest yacht available for charter. It’s considered a megayacht and a floating palace. The amenities of the yacht include a spa, a movie theater, a gym, a beach club, underwater lights, and an elevator.
Entrepreneur Jonny Dodge, who’s a superyacht entrepreneur, got to hang with the Paul brothers and he recorded a video that he posted on Instagram where we can see Jake Paul jumping off the Flying Fox. “Jake Paul & Logan Paul jumping off the biggest yacht in the world.. on a crazy weekend with these guys! Such fun memories from this epic trip! ..and Alec Monopoly too! One of the crazy trips ever onboard Flying Fox.” wrote Dodge.
Even though the stunt looks cool and very impressive, Jake Paul put his life in danger doing it so. Jumping off the Flying Fox means doing it so from a 105 feet boat above the waterline. This height is achieved by its towering six-deck structure. And let’s remember that the influencer got engaged to his girlfriend, Dutch speed skater Jutta Leerdam, on March 22, 2025.
Jake Paul’s stunt move starts a debate online
Some fans were not happy with Jake and Logan Paul’s stunt, especially because before jumping off the yacht, the former was drinking a beer from a bottle and he jumped with the drink. “Throwing trash into the ocean while being recorded… shows his attitude.” an IG user wrote.
“Money can’t buy class, and it’s sad that throwing a bottle in the sea sums it up, really. Please respect nature – it’s free to enjoy, so let others enjoy it, too, without causing inconvenience.” added another person. “That bottle!” said another user.
Instagram users did mentioned the fact that it’s nice to see successful brothers enjoying life together, but that does not gets them off the hook when it comes to throwing trash to the ocean. “The kind of person that doesn’t think about bringing a beer bottle into the ocean with them is the kind of person that doesn’t care about anything other than themselves.” posted a user called The Dalton King.
