The MLBchampions, the Los Angeles Dodgers, have once again shaken up the market for the upcoming 2026 season.

The 2025 World Series winners have reportedly completed the signing of Kyle Tucker, one of the most coveted players in free agency, and Pat McAfee, the college football analyst and former NFL Pro Bowl player with the Indianapolis Colts, gave his opinion on the matter.

According to ESPN reporters, Kyle Tucker‘s contract would be for four years and more than $200 million, including recession clauses after the second and third seasons.

Pat McAfee discusses the real impact of Kyle Tucker on the Dodgers

On Friday, January 16, the former NFL player saw a report from Jeff Passan about Kyle Tucker‘s deal with the Los Angeles team. The news was about a 4-year, $240 million contract for the right fielder and MLB star.

Tucker joins a roster full of great players such as Shohei Ohtani, Mookie Betts, Freddie Freeman, Will Smith, among many others, in the quest to achieve the triple World Series title in the 2026 season.

The Dodgers are one of the most stable teams in MLB and have just signed arguably the best player in all of free agency. Mcafee on the social network x shared the news of Tucker with the message:

The Dodgers are very good at baseball.

The Dodgers with Kyle Tucker: Stellar signing for the MLB champions

According to reports from insider Jon Heyman, the Dodgers and Kyle Tucker have reached an agreement with the firm intentions of the Los Angeles team to prolong its dominance in MLB. Tucker, who will turn 29 years old, was considered the best bat available on the market, his arrival fits perfectly into a roster full of stars, but also in an organization known for maximizing the performance of its players.

Tucker is one of the best without a doubt, and in the first half of the 2025 season with the Chicago Cubs, he hit .280 with 17 home runs, earning him his fourth All-Star selection. However, injuries have been a recurring theme with the player, affecting the second half of last season, where a fracture in his right hand and later a calf injury affected his performance.

The MLB champions are confident that Tucker can regain his best form and level next season.
