Bryson DeChambeau’s private life has become the subject of growing speculation after fans spotted several apparent connections between the LIV Golf star and former hockey goalie Mikayla Demaiter.
Neither DeChambeau nor Demaiter has confirmed that they’re dating, meaning the rumors remain just that. However, a series of recent sightings and social media posts has given fans plenty to discuss.
Interest intensified when Demaiter attended LIV Golf New York at Trump National Golf Club Bedminster wearing a guest pass. She was also seen with a Crushers GC cap, linking her directly to the team DeChambeau captains.
The pair also follow each other on Instagram, although that alone clearly isn’t proof of a romantic relationship.
Social media clues fuel DeChambeau rumors
Further speculation followed when Demaiter posted photographs from what fans believed could be DeChambeau’s home.
One set of images appeared to show her standing near a closet containing multiple Crushers GC caps, while later pictures were reportedly taken inside a home gym associated with the two time U.S. Open champion.
DeChambeau’s former logo, featuring the flat cap he once wore in tribute to Payne Stewart, could reportedly be seen on gym equipment in the background.
Demaiter also shared an image of an oceanside golf course, adding another small detail for social media users already trying to connect the dots.
Neither has confirmed a romance
Demaiter, 26, previously played goalie for the Bluewater Hawks in Canada’s Provincial Women’s Hockey League before a serious knee injury ended her playing career when she was 19.
She subsequently moved into modeling and digital media, building an audience of more than three million followers on Instagram. Describing her only in terms of her appearance, as some coverage has done, overlooks the successful independent platform she has developed since leaving hockey.
DeChambeau, 32, has kept his relationships largely private in recent years. His last publicly confirmed relationship was with former college golfer Hunter Nugent, which ended in 2022.
The latest clues certainly explain why fans believe something may be developing between DeChambeau and Demaiter, particularly given her appearance around LIV Golf and the apparent photographs from his property.
Still, social media detective work isn’t confirmation.
Until either DeChambeau or Demaiter addresses the speculation themselves, their relationship status remains private and unverified.
