Indiana Fever guard Lexie Hull shares personal milestone amid unrivaled training

Lexie Hull is wasting no time turning the page from a grueling WNBA postseason to a packed and meaningful offseason. Fresh off a breakout year with the Indiana Fever, Hull is balancing two major priorities at once: preparing for another run in Unrivaled and planning her upcoming wedding.

After helping the Fever push the Las Vegas Aces to a dramatic Game 5 overtime in the semifinals, Hull finally had time to slow down, at least briefly. The 24-year-old guard described the rare downtime as both refreshing and necessary.

This offseason has been great. Been able to be in Indy, in and out of Indy, doing a lot of fun things”…”Being able to train there has been awesome. Visiting friends, visiting family. There’s been so much over the last couple of months that it’s so nice to have time off to be here in the States and be able to go and visit them.

Hull said.

New plans in life for Lexie Hull

That time at home has been especially valuable with a wedding on the horizon. Hull, who announced her engagement to longtime boyfriend Will Matthiessen in April, recently shared a major update: she has chosen her maid of honor. While some fans hoped it would be Caitlin Clark, the honor went to someone even closer, her twin sister, Lacie Hull.

In a heartfelt gesture shared on Instagram, Hull sent her sister a gift package that included a framed beach photo of the two and a handwritten note asking, “Will you be my Maid of Honor?” Lacie’s response said it all: “Yes times a million.” Hull reposted the moment with a simple caption that captured the sentiment perfectly: “Easiest decision ever.”

Despite her busy schedule, Hull admitted that wedding planning has only just begun.

Honestly, we haven’t had too much time to dive into the details yet, but it’s been fun so far.”…”That’s probably the hardest part, trying to plan while we’re both so busy.

While Clark won’t serve as maid of honor, Hull confirmed her Fever teammates-including Clark and Sophie Cunningham-will be part of the celebration in some capacity.

Unrivaled could unlock the next level of Hull’s game

Even with wedding plans underway, Hull’s competitive edge hasn’t dulled. She’s preparing to suit up once again for Rose Basketball Club in the Unrivaled 3×3 league, where she already owns a championship ring.

Last season, Rose BC captured the inaugural Unrivaled title, and Hull’s experience there translated directly into the best WNBA season of her career. She posted career highs across the board while emerging as one of Indiana’s most trusted perimeter defenders.

Lexie came back a much more aggressive, assertive player from Unrivaled.

Fever head coach Stephanie White said at Indiana’s exit interviews.

Hull herself has been clear about what the 3×3 format demands

You really have to take pride in that one-on-one defense.”…”If you help, there’s an open 3 on the other side.

The basketball player explained.

That mindset paid dividends. Hull often guarded the opposing team’s top scorer, improved her steals per game dramatically, and maintained an elite defensive rating. Now, with expanded offensive opportunities alongside stars like Kahleah Copper and Chelsea Gray at Rose BC, Hull has a chance to sharpen her scoring instincts even further.

Between wedding plans and elite offseason competition, Lexie Hull’s calendar may be full, but so is her momentum.
