Francisco Lindor’s wife Katia condemns ICE for detention of children in Minneapolis: “It’s cruelty”

There are couples of athletes who take an active and participatory role with the community and society in general when something threatens their integrity.

For example, Katia Lindor, wife of Francisco Lindor, has spoken out strongly against the Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) anti-immigrant operations in Minneapolis, because minors have been detained.

Katia has spoken out on her social media about what she describes as an act of “cruelty”. She argues that she finds it inhumane the treatment of children whose parents are also detained in front of their own eyes with the use of force and violent actions, which can also be exercised with the infants.

Those who support these Nazis as they terrorize children and families today would undoubtedly have backed the oppressive regimes of the past. History shows us that cruelty exercised under the guise of law is still cruelty

In her Instagram stories, the wife of one of the Mets’ great figures at present made her public stance clear in the face of the arbitrary and excessive brutality with which operations are carried out. She also expressed her total rejection of anti-immigrant policies, especially when they put children at risk.

Future generations will read about this era and wonder how such injustices were allowed to occur, how so many looked the other way and why our collective moral conscience failed to intervene

He even compared ICE to the Gestapo, the secret police serving the Nazis in World War II. He indicated that they operate under the law and the authority they possess to commit reprehensible acts.

Katia Lindor and her effect on the Mets fans

For some fans of the team, it is admirable that the partner of one of their idols and leaders speaks out on issues that concern them as a society and that she is aware of what is happening in the country.

They welcome the fact that the wife of an athlete has a moral and social commitment to causes that violate dignity, such as the detention of children in anti-immigrant operations.
