Francisco Lindor’s attitude in Mets’ loss outrages Red Sox pitcher

The series that the Boston Red Sox won against the New York Mets ended with many stories that will be talked about for some time. First, there was criticism of Juan Soto’s attitude on a hit that could have been a home run and ended up being a single in Game 1. Then there were the ejections of Walker Buehler and his manager Alex Cora in Game 2. Finally, there was New York’s victory in Game 3, which culminated with a home run by Francisco Lindor to avoid the sweep.

The Red Sox pitcher Walker Buehler showed his indignation about the attitude of Francisco Lindor, after he was ejected by umpire Mike Estabrook, for ruling that a pitch that barely grazed the leader’s foot was a hit that gave him the automatic pass to first base, and then continued with his annoyance, after with Juan Soto at the plate, exploded with the decisions.

Buehler learned of Lindor’s attitude, who in a mocking tone asked the umpire to throw him out and, after Boston’s victory, launched a response through his X account.

“I wouldn’t want to be there either. The sad thing is that the BULLPEN is full of damn animals. It’s a tough decision,” Buehler wrote on X, after boasting about the work of his teammates, who limited the Mets offense to four hits.

Buehler did not allow a single hit in his 2 1/3 innings, striking out four and walking two during his outing in the Red Sox 2-0 win over the Mets.

Brennan Bernardino stepped in for Buehler, while Garrett Whitlock took the win. Ardolis Chapman pitched the ninth to earn his eighth save.

Manager Alex Cora was also ejected when he left the dugout in defense of his pitcher and got into a heated argument with Mike Estabrook with one out in the third inning.
