The referee’s report ofQuinteroGonzalez after the Real Madrid-Celta match reflects a night of tension at the Bernabeu. The referee showed six yellow cards to the white team, including the one shown to Bellingham for entering the field of play “without authorisation” after being attended by the medical services.

Fran Garcia saw two cards in just one minute for two reckless challenges and was sent off. Rodrygo, Valverde and Carreras were also cautioned for protests and remarks towards the refereeing team in the closing stages.

Carreras’ expulsion for a second yellow card in the 90th minute is accompanied by a literal phrase that represents the Madrid outburst: “You are terrible”. The report also points to Endrick, who was sent off for leaving the bench, running towards the fourth official shouting and needing to be restrained by members of the coaching staff

The match continued to be red-hot after the final whistle. In the tunnel, the referee identified Dani Carvajal, dressed in civilian clothes, approaching him with a direct reproach: “The level you give and then crying in a press conference”.

The report also reflects the reprimand to Xabi Alonso, sanctioned for protesting from the technical area in the 73rd minute. Even so, Quintero Gonzalez’s report describes a match that overflowed emotionally in the decisive stretch, with Madrid accelerated in its reactions and the result against it.
