Another tough blow for the New York Giants franchise, which has gone through difficult times in recent years. Now, former quarterback and team legend Eli Manning did not receive enough votes from the selection committee to be inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame Class of 2026. He was a finalist for the second consecutive year, but once again fell short.
Eli Manning owns an impressive résumé, including two Super Bowl titles and two Super Bowl MVP awards. However, that has not been enough to earn him a place in Canton, Ohio. Moreover, all four of those achievements came against Tom Brady and the New England Patriots, including preventing the Patriots from completing a perfect season in 2007.
The main issue is that during the regular season, Eli Manning had a highly questionable record of 117-117, barely a .500 winning percentage, along with 244 interceptions. Because of this, many people doubt whether he belongs in the Hall of Fame. Only time will tell, but the Manning name will certainly remain part of the conversation in the coming years.

Eli Manning’s 2011 postseason was spectacular
As social media continues to debate the fact that Eli Manning will not be inducted into the Hall of Fame for at least another year, many have revisited his spectacular 2011 playoff run, which ended with the fourth Super Bowl in New York Giants history and the second of Eli Manning’s career-once again at the expense of Tom Brady.
Manning delivered outstanding performances against the Atlanta Falcons and the Green Bay Packers, a memorable NFC Championship Game against the San Francisco 49ers, and a clinical performance in the Super Bowl against the Patriots. During that playoff run, Manning totaled 1,219 passing yards, nine touchdown passes, and just one interception-numbers that are now etched in history.
To put things into perspective, Drake Maye and Sam Darnold will face each other in the upcoming Super Bowl between the Patriots and the Seahawks. In these playoffs, Maye has thrown for only 533 yards, while Darnold has 470-figures far below what the Ole Miss product accomplished in his time.
Time will tell what happens, but Eli Manning’s absence from the Hall of Fame is debatable. There are arguments on both sides: whether he was not dominant enough during the regular season, or whether he was truly spectacular in the playoffs in which he played. Only time will determine whether Eli Manning ultimately earns his place in the Hall of Fame.
