Draymond Green fails to learn his lesson: Another ejection and the Warriors are beginning to tire of him

Draymond Green‘s inability to control his emotions resurfaced again Saturday, and the latest ejection on December 3 has intensified a growing sense that the Golden State Warriors are losing patience with a pattern that never seems to change.

What should have been a routine regular-season game against the Utah Jazz instead became another reminder that Green‘s volatility continues to overshadow his leadership role and strain Golden State‘s tolerance.

The 35-year-old was ejected early in the second quarter after exploding over a missed three-second call, turning a minor officiating dispute into yet another self-inflicted setback for his team.

The forward left his defensive assignment to confront official Simone Jelks, gifting Lauri Markkanen an uncontested dunk before the situation escalated beyond recovery. Green was hit with one technical foul immediately.

But his refusal to disengage led to a second technical moments later, resulting in an automatic ejection barely 30 seconds after the initial argument.

The outburst came despite Green being well-rested, making the lack of restraint even more concerning for a veteran expected to set the emotional tone.

This was not an isolated moment, but part of a season-long trend that has repeatedly placed the Warriors in difficult positions both competitively and internally.

Earlier this month, Green was ejected for shoving a Phoenix Suns player, then walked away from the bench during a heated argument with Steve Kerr just days later.

In November, he confronted a fan during a game in New Orleans, drawing attention away from the court and adding another chapter to his growing list of distractions.

Injuries have also interrupted his season, as he has already missed seven games, including a three-game absence with a foot issue that further disrupted lineup continuity.

His on-court impact has dipped noticeably, with one of his lowest statistical outputs in years and Golden State being outscored in nine of his last 10 appearances.

Those struggles have contributed to the Warriors slipping to an 18-17 record after a promising start, increasing frustration within a roster desperate for stability.

Green now sits at nine technical fouls, inching closer to an automatic suspension and testing the limits of organizational patience as the season grinds forward.

Curry and Warriors beat Jazz despite Green drama

Despite the chaos, Stephen Curry rescued the night with a dominant performance, reminding everyone why the Warriors still believe they can compete when focused.

Curry finished with 31 points and six three-pointers, lifting Golden State to a 123-114 win just one night after a blowout loss to Oklahoma City.

He erupted for 20 points in the third quarter alone, hitting six of seven shots and swinging momentum decisively back in the Warriors‘ favor.

Utah leaned on Markkanen, who scored 35 points and punished Golden State‘s interior defense after Green‘s early exit reshaped the matchup.

Jimmy Butler added 15 points and seven assists in his return, though Golden State still committed 15 turnovers that continue to frustrate the coaching staff.

The Warriors move forward with a win, but Green‘s latest implosion reinforces a troubling truth: the talent remains, yet his refusal to learn may finally force hard questions.

Up next Is a trip to the 12-22 Los Angeles Clippers on December 5, who were just beaten 146-115 by the Boston Celtics.
