Drake Maye Family: Meet the Patriots QB’s Parents and Siblings

After seven years, the New England Patriots will return to the Super Bowl and quarterback Drake Maye is responsible for the great change from one season to the next with the Massachusetts franchise after the era of Tom Brady and Bill Belichick

Maye’s leadership and on-field delivery achieved what seemed impossible, guiding the Patriots back to the NFL’s biggest stage, Super Bowl LX.

The 23-year-old sensation would never have become who he is if it were not for the training, education and love his parents gave him throughout his life, guiding him into the player he is now and who is just days away from the biggest game of his career so far.

Drake Maye’s parents are Mark and Aimee Maye

Mark and Aimee Maye built a family rooted in sports, more specifically in athletics. Drake’s father was possibly the one who most influenced his career as a quarterback in the NFL, as his father played football at UNC. He was the quarterback for the Tar Heels in the 86 and 87 seasons and was a two-time Academic All-ACC Team selection.

Although Mark did not have the same success in the draft as his son, he did have a brief stint with the Buccaneers but multiple shoulder and arm injuries resulted in his return to Chapel Hill.

His mother, Aimee Maye, is also from North Carolina and grew up in the Charlotte area where she played basketball as a child and was a star at West Charlotte High School. In fact, she was named Mecklenburg County Player of the Year in her senior year. At one point, Aimee commented that she might have tried to play at UNC, but decided not to and to attend college as a non-athlete.

Drake Maye is currently not married

Ann Michael Hudson is the wife of the Patriots quarterback. Some reports indicate that the couple has been together since high school, while others say they have been together since eighth grade

Hudson also attended UNC, where she majored in business with a double major in entrepreneurship and conflict management, according to her LinkedIn profile, and has her own connection to football thanks to her father, who played at Wofford College, and her brother, Tad, who played for UNC.

Who are Drake Maye’s siblings?

Aimee and Mark welcomed four children: Luke, Cole, Beau and Drake, all of whom are collegiate athletes.

The eldest son, Luke, was a star on the UNC basketball team from 2015 to 2019. His second son, Cole, won an NCAA baseball title at the University of Florida, while his third son, Beau, also played for the UNC basketball team until his graduation in 2023.

Mark raised his three sons to play football, basketball and baseball, but when it came time to choose which sport they would play in college, only Drake followed in his father’s footsteps.
