Djokovic steals another record from Nadal: he has the most wins (411) in Masters 1000 tournaments

With the numbers in hand, Novak Djokovic has long been the best player ever to wield a racket. The Serbian, the tennis record holder, has a new mark set on Sunday in the third round of the Miami Open

Djokovic has overtaken Camilo Ugo Carabelli, 6-1, 7-6(1), to become the player with the most matches won (411) in Masters 1000 tournaments. He thus takes away another of the few records that Rafael Nadal (410 wins) has left beyond those obtained on clay

The Belgrade tennis player is the one who holds the most titles in the TMS (40), most finals (59) and semifinals (78). About to turn 38 years old (May 22), he seems to have a long way to go if injuries respect him

The 100 Titles

The next goal is to reach the 100 tournaments won, a figure that has eluded her since she climbed to the top of the podium at the Paris Games

Carabelli was the third ‘lucky loser’ in just a year to face Djokovic on the first American hard-court tour. The previous two, Luca Nardi and Botic van de Zandschulp, knocked him out of Indian Wells. Miami has been a different story
