Dillon Brooks doesn’t bow down to LeBron James and gets revenge for his taunt on a play with Bronny

Monday night’s game was a nightmare for LeBron James. Not only because of the Lakers’ loss to the Suns or his poor performance after his recent return to the court, but also because of the constant taunts from one of his bitter rivals, Dillon Brooks. Fortunately for “King” James, his successor got him some sweet revenge.

The rivalry between Brooks and James is no secret. The Phoenix Suns’ star forward is one of the few who dares to challenge LeBron both on and off the court.

On Monday night alone, Brooks was vital to Phoenix’s 125-108 victory over Los Angeles, in the absence of Devin Booker, who left the game with a groin injury early on.

Brooks led the Suns with 33 points, two rebounds, and two assists. James, meanwhile, scored just 10 points and dished out 10 assists; worse still, he had to endure Brooks’s taunts all night.

Dillon refuses to bow to the “King”

The Crypto.com Arena court became a veritable battleground on Monday night. The main rivals? LeBron James and Dillon Brooks, both on and off the court.

As fans know, Brooks loves playing the villain. This time, he relentlessly provoked James throughout the game, mainly by exaggerating LeBron’s celebrations.

For example, in the second quarter, he stared intently at James after a spectacular dunk, then exaggerated the “King’s” shrug… twice.

Finally, in the third quarter, James had had enough and exchanged harsh words with Brooks. The Sun’s star has always said he refuses to “bow down” to LeBron as the rest of the NBA does; however, Bronny was there to make him eat his words.

Bronny gets revenge on Brooks for his father’s sake

Bronny James saw just six minutes of action in Monday’s game. However, near the end of the game, he played a key role in the clash between Brooks and his father.

With just over three minutes left to play, the younger James was guarding Dillon. The Phoenix forward had his back to him and then attempted a turnaround jumper. However, the ball hit the rim and went out of bounds.

LeBron was on the bench at that moment, and upon seeing Brooks’ mistake caused by Bronny, he gave his rival a thumbs-down. The “King” got his revenge, but perhaps Bronny is inheriting his feud with Brooks.
