The NFC North rivalry just got a serious jolt. With All-Pro Micah Parsons now suiting up for the Green Bay Packers, Detroit’s Week 1 opener has taken on giant significance. But Dan Campbell, ever the fiery leader, pushed back against the hype, subtly signaling that the Lions aren’t flinching.

Campbell isn’t overreacting

Campbell’s comments were measured, not panicked. He noted:

I don’t know how much it will change necessarily yet…We’ll dive deeper into that in the next couple of days

Detroit’s offensive strategy

Campbell hinted that the offensive approach against Parsons might echo what the Lions designed for defensive tackle Kenny Clark. That suggests a brute force, multi-pronged run and pass game, attacking Parsons from every angle and testing his endurance from the opening snap.

Says ESPN analyst Kyle Long, “We are going to test the fortitude of Micah Parsons…use different tight ends, receivers, guards, and tackles, think of it as a turnstile of blockers going at him”.
