Dak Prescott surprised Cowboys owner Jerry Jones with an unexpected Thanksgiving feast turning the tables in a way nobody saw coming

This Thursday Night Football game between the Lions and the Cowboys is an absolute must-win for both teams, who sit 8th and 9th, respectively, in the NFC Wild Card race. Should the Lions win, they would essentially put the Cowboys’ playoff hopes in serious jeopardy, leaving Dallas two games behind with only four games remaining. This heightened urgency follows their results on Thanksgiving, which was the most-watched Thanksgiving Day ever. The Cowboys’ victory over the Chiefs specifically became the most-watched regular-season game in NFL history, attracting over 57 million viewers.

Dak Forces Turkey on Jerry Jones

Following the dramatic Thanksgiving victory, the Cowboys’ locker room exploded into a festive, turkey-fueled party led by quarterback Dak Prescott. The new show ‘Hard Knocks: In Season with the NFC East’ captured the chaotic joy, highlighting a moment nobody saw coming.

Just as coach Brian Schottenheimer was about to address the team, Dak burst in shouting, “Turkeeeey!” The footage then shows Prescott finding Cowboys Owner Jerry Jones and, in a hilarious reversal of the typical power dynamic, shoving a turkey leg toward him and declaring, “Get you some of that turkey!” Jones, fully embracing the spirit of the celebration, bites into the turkey like a “cannibal,” all part of the sheer happiness of keeping their playoff hopes alive.

In good news for the Cowboys ahead of their next clash, the Lions’ defense is set to be significantly hampered by injuries. Cornerback Terrion Arnold is undergoing season-ending shoulder surgery, safety Kerby Joseph is out, and wide receiver Amon-Ra St. Brown is also possibly sidelined.

This unfortunate timing for Detroit clears the runway for the Cowboys’ stellar wide receivers, CeeDee Lamb, who had his best career game against the Lions, and George Pickens, to have another huge performance, powered, of course, by a confident Dak Prescott.

Cowboys Eyeing End-of-Season Streak

A victory for the Cowboys tonight puts them in a strong position to potentially close out the year with an eight-game winning streak. Their next two games are at home against the Vikings, whose season has been a disaster, and the Chargers, who are uncertain when Justin Herbert will play after undergoing surgery on his fractured left hand.

They then close the season with two road games against divisional rivals: the Commanders and the Giants. Both teams are already eliminated from the playoffs but, precisely because they have nothing to lose, they will play aggressively, looking to derail the Cowboys’ season. There is no greater hatred than that reserved for a divisional rival, guaranteeing two intense final games.
