Colombia’s path to the 2026 FIFA World Cup is already set, and for many fans, the most important thing is not only the opponent, but also where and when they will be able to follow their team.

After the official draw held on December 5, 2025, Nestor Lorenzo’s team was placed in Group K, with three matches to be played in Mexico and the United States, in cities that will be key for the Latino community

The first match will mark the start of the journey.

Three different matches

On Wednesday, June 17, Colombia will face Uzbekistan at the Estadio Banorte in Mexico City. This match will be the national team’s debut in the competition.

After that first step, the team will be back in action a few days later

On Tuesday, June 23, Colombia will face DR Congo at the Akron Stadium in Guadalajara, in a match that could begin to define the direction of the group.

Finally, the group stage will close with a high-level duel.

On Saturday, June 27, Colombia will face Portugal at the Hard Rock Stadium in Miami, a venue where the presence of Colombian and Latin American fans in the United States could be strongly felt.

Each match not only represents a different opponent, but also a key city within the tournament, with a close presence for those following Colombia from the United States.
