It was last Saturday night when the Dodgers were crowned back-to-back champions after defeating the Toronto Blue Jays. The World Series went down to the wire, in a Game 7, which Dave Roberts’ team won with a final score of 5-4. The Los Angeles team was crowned MLB champion once again, and Clayton Kershaw, one of its greatest legends, bid a triumphant farewell.

It was a fitting end for the veteran Dodgers pitcher, winning his third Fall Classic with the team. Kershaw celebrated with his teammates and family at Dodger Stadium, giving a speech in which he had to fight back tears to deliver his words clearly. He had pitched for the Florida team for 18 years, so saying goodbye was anything but easy for him.

Clayton Kershaw, a Dodger for life, a champion for eternity

The team parade was on Monday, celebrating their title victory in the thrilling seven-game series over the Toronto Blue Jays, as speeches were given inside Dodger Stadium. Kershaw was undoubtedly emotional during his speech as, in addition to talking about the World Series, he thanked the fans for all the memories, among other things.

you’ve been the greatest team in the world for as long as I can remember

“Thank you for 18 years, thank you for showing up and watching us play for the last 18 years,” Kershaw said, via MLB. “Thank you for being here for me and my family and supporting us, and thank you to all of you. Thank you to my teammates. You guys are the greatest in the world. You guys are the greatest team in the world, and you’ve been the greatest team in the world for as long as I can remember.”

He concluded: “Last year, I said I was a Dodger for life. And today, that’s true, and today, I can say I’m a champion for life, and that will never go away. So thank you for this moment. Thank you to my teammates for this moment. Thank you to this organization for this moment here. I will remember it for the rest of my life.”

Shohei Ohtani is already gearing up for his third ring with the Los Angeles Dodgers

Shohei Ohtani stole the show at the Dodgers’ 2025 MLB World Series victory parade. In an unusual move, the Japanese phenom took the microphone and, without an interpreter, addressed the fans in English. “Hello, hello. I want to say that I’m very proud of this team, and I want to say that you are the best fans in the world,” Ohtani said, unleashing a deafening ovation at Dodger Stadium.

Ohtani’s message was not just a thank you, but a declaration of intent. “And I’m ready to get another ring next year. Let’s go!” he added, issuing a direct challenge to his teammates. The excited crowd responded enthusiastically, knowing that the road to another title won’t be easy, but with Ohtani leading the way, anything is possible.
