Christian Pulisic’s Milan future isn’t signed yet and Liverpool and Arsenal are ready

The situation around San Siro has shifted from routine to unresolved.

Liverpool and Arsenal are both reportedly monitoring Christian Pulisic as his contract extension with AC Milan remains unsigned despite advanced negotiations.

Pulisic remains under contract with AC Milan until June 2027, and for much of the season his long-term future appeared settled. Since arriving from Chelsea, the 25-year-old has become a key attacking figure, contributing consistently across domestic and European competitions.

By late 2025, Italian reports suggested that Milan and the player had reached an agreement in principle on a new deal. Only the final steps remained.

Those steps have not yet been completed.

According to reports, the delay has left the USMNT international seeking clarity. While his positive stance toward Milan has not changed, the lack of formal confirmation has reportedly left him “disconcerted”, as he had expected the renewal to be finalized earlier.

“Several English clubs are interested in the American for next season, and they’re ready to make AC Milan an offer to bring him back to the Premier League…

Premier League interest quietly intensifies

That pause has not gone unnoticed. Both Liverpool and Arsenal are said to be tracking developments closely, while Tottenham Hotspur have also been linked to the situation in a separate report. There is no indication that any club has made a formal approach, nor that Milan are open to selling.

Italian outlet La Gazzetta dello Sport has previously reported that Milan consider Pulisic a core part of their project and expect the extension to be completed. Transfer analyst Fabrizio Romano has echoed that position, noting that Milan’s intention has consistently been to secure his long-term future.

Still, in modern football, timing creates opportunity.

Why this moment matters

Pulisic’s form explains the renewed attention. After an inconsistent spell during his final seasons at Chelsea, he has delivered a far more stable campaign in Serie A, combining improved durability with strong attacking output. His numbers place him among Milan’s most productive attackers this season.

Analysts at ESPN have highlighted his resurgence as one of the most notable seasons by an American player in Europe in recent years. That context elevates his profile at a time when top Premier League clubs are reassessing their attacking depth.

For Liverpool, the interest aligns with a broader squad evolution. For Arsenal, it reflects their continued pursuit of versatile, experienced forwards. For Milan, securing the extension would remove uncertainty and protect a player whose value has risen significantly.

The situation moving forward

Milan remain confident that the agreement will be completed, and there has been no signal that Pulisic is pushing for a move. The next phase is administrative rather than dramatic.

But until signatures are on paper, external interest is unlikely to fade.

This article is based on verified reporting from Italian and English media, including La Gazzetta dello Sport, analysis from ESPN, and commentary from established transfer journalists. No official statements have been issued by the clubs or the player at the time of publication.
