Collin Morikawa is a two-time major winner with one of the purest swings on the PGA Tour. Charley Hull doesn’t care.
In a new video from TaylorMade Golf, Hull, Morikawa, and Tommy Fleetwood joined forces with Barstool Sports’ Fore Play crew for a laid-back 2v2v2 alternate-shot match. The group split into three teams-Hull and Frankie, Morikawa and Riggs, Fleetwood and Trent-and hit the course for a friendly nine-hole showdown.
What wasn’t expected? Hull outdriving Morikawa on the second hole, then turning to him with a grin and saying, “Hey there, little boy.”
That moment has exploded across social media. Fans instantly clipped the scene, praising Hull’s playful dig and confident energy. “Tough scene for Collin,” one fan joked. Another wrote, “Charley we love you!” The comment section lit up like a leaderboard on Sunday at Augusta.
Mid-Round Heat Check: Hull’s Swagger Steals the Show
Hull didn’t just hit a good shot-she set the tone. Her chirp added a new layer to what was already a highly entertaining video. TaylorMade’s YouTube challenge was meant to show off some relaxed, behind-the-scenes chemistry, but it’s Hull’s one-liner that’s taken on a life of its own.
The clip even got shoutouts on Pardon My Take, Golf Today, and ESPN’s social media platforms. Golf.com called it “peak Charley Hull,” while Golf Digest said it was “exactly the kind of edge and personality the sport could use more of.”
Off the course, Hull is also getting attention for her role in Happy Gilmore 2, recently released on Netflix. In the movie, she runs a quirky mini golf park and shares a scene with Adam Sandler. “It was such an honour to be part of this film,” Hull posted on X. “Totally different from my day job, but such a fun experience.”
She may be adding acting credits to her name, but her eyes are still firmly on golf’s biggest prizes.
Hull finished T-21 at last week’s ISPS HANDA Scottish Open and has two top-12 finishesin majors this season. She’s back in action at this week’s AIG Women’s Open at Royal Porthcawl-an event where she nearly broke through with a runner-up finish in 2023.
She’s still chasing her first major win. In the meantime, she’s proving she can outdrive the guys, light up a film set, and dominate a YouTube video-all without losing her edge.
