Cam Skattebo has been making the most of his downtime since suffering a gruesome injury, popping up on podcasts, livestreams, and anything else that lets him stay connected to fans while he rehabs.
But nothing he has said over the last few weeks gained traction like the moment he shut down any possibility of joining a rival. His answer came during a walk through the American Dream Mall alongside streamer N3on, and it took only one question to spark a social media eruption.
N3on, wearing a Giants jersey for the occasion, asked Skattebo whether he would sign with the Philadelphia Eagles if they offered him double his current rookie deal. Skattebo did not hesitate, nor did he soften his answer.
“No. I wouldn’t go anywhere for double the money. Nowhere,” he told the streamer, a response that immediately sent the comment section into a frenzy.
The clip quickly made its way across X and Instagram, where Giants supporters lined up to show their appreciation. One fan wrote, “I love Skattebo even more now.” Another took a jab at a former New York running back, posting, “@saquon take notes b***h boy.”
Still, there was something striking about how unequivocal Skattebo was. He could have offered a diplomatic line about future opportunities. He could have redirected.

Skattebo’s stream got even more heated earlier in the day
The viral moment did not happen in a vacuum. Before the contract question, the running back was already dealing with some real time trolling during the stream. Eagles fans crossed his path and made sure he heard their rallying cry, prompting Skattebo to voice his confusion.
“I just don’t understand. You see me in public and you say, ‘Go birds.’ It just makes no sense,” he told the stream.
Given that dynamic, it is not hard to see why his refusal to entertain a Philadelphia future landed so emphatically with New York supporters. The rivalry extends far beyond the field, and Skattebo’s frustration made it clear he is already immersed in it.
For now, his actual football future is not up for debate. Skattebo is under contract through 2028, firmly locked into the Giants’ long-term plans as he works back from injury.
