Caleb Plant posts a spicy hint to William Scull after the ‘boring’ fight against Canelo Alvarez

Reactions to the disaster of Saul Alvarez‘s triumph over William Scull have not stopped, in the face of the lamentable spectacle offered in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, where the Cuban ran away to avoid the knockout, while the Mexican was unable to catch him and the result was a fight that has been described as boring.

After the IBF stripped Canelo Alvarez of the belt, the Mexican was forced to face Scull to become the undisputed super middleweight champion again, but in the ring he was never able to cut off his opponent’s space to prevent him from escaping. He also failed to land heavy blows, and the Mexican fighter himself admitted that it was a boring fight, which he won by unanimous decision.

“For me, it’s a boring fight. You know, like a fighter who doesn’t try to win or just survive. I hate that kind of fighter,” Canelo acknowledged, in a comment that would be backed on social media by Caleb Plant, a former rival of Saul Alvarez, whom he beat by technical knockout in the 11th round.

Caleb Plant boasts of having fought Canelo

Contrary to what happened with William Scull, X Zayin Brown remembered the way in which Caleb Plant faced Canelo Alvarez in 2021 and criticized that the rest of his rivals since that date, have only wanted to face him for the attractive purse.

“That’s why I have so much respect for @SweetHandsPlant (Caleb Plant). He didn’t get fooled by the fight with Canelo. He came out on his shield, and every fighter Canelo has faced since then has been a money grabber. Plant wanted the crown,” posted the X user.

The comment caught the attention of Caleb Plant, who agreed that unlike Scull, he stood in front of Canelo to beat him and not to try to survive: “I fell short, but I wanted to win. I’d rather go out on my shield than feel like I didn’t give it my all.”
