Indiana Fever superstar Caitlin Clark is already signaling her excitement as the 2026 WNBA season draws closer.

After a sophomore campaign interrupted by injury, the 23yearold guard hinted at what she is most eager to experience once the games begin.

Clark spent much of last season sidelined, appearing in just 13 games because of softtissue issues.

Despite that setback, she quickly became one of the league’s most electrifying players, captivating fans with her scoring prowess and playmaking ability.

This week the Fever as an organization posted photos celebrating the connection between its players and supporters. In response, Clark wrote a brief but telling message: “time to get back to a lot of this.”

That phrase perfectly encapsulates what she appears to be anticipating most – the chance to compete regularly and interact with the passionate fans who helped make her rise so compelling.

Clark hungry to return

The 2026 season is scheduled to tip off in May, with the Fever opening against the Dallas Wings.

If negotiations between the WNBA and its players union conclude successfully, Clark will be back at Gainbridge Fieldhouse thrilling crowds and leading Indiana’s offense.

Her eagerness to return comes amid ongoing uncertainty about the league’s new collective bargaining agreement.

Talks have yet to produce a finalized deal, and there remains the potential for disruptions if an agreement isn’t reached in time.

Still, Clark‘s focus appears to be on the positive – reconnecting with teammates and fans alike as the long offseason winds down.

For many supporters, Clark‘s brief message was a welcome sign that she is ready to put the challenges of last season behind her.

Whether it’s making plays on the court or engaging with the Fever faithful from the stands, Clark seems most excited about returning to the shared experience that made her a sensation in the first place.

Her words reflect more than just a readiness to play; they show a genuine appreciation for the community that has embraced her rise in women’s basketball.
